I have posted a new hedgehog care book in the links section which is a pdf file format.  You can read, save, print it as you like.  It was written by an owner and I have reviewed the contents.  There are some things I dont agree with 100% but they are minor in the big picture and as a whole I think it is a useful book for new owners. Sasha gave birth to her babies this afternoon..the very last day of 2009.  No head count yet but stay tuned:)

Can you believe it.......2010?!  Hope its a wonderful year for all of us.  We are expecting some new HH litters on or about 1/1/10 so get your applications in now.

This time of year when everyone is sick, please be extra cautious around your quilled friends.  They can and do pick up colds/viruses from you.  Make sure you wash your hands before and after handling them, do not handle them if you are very ill and keep a watch for any symptoms such as sneezing and nasal discharge.  In most cases a slight case of the sniffles will clear up quickly with some tlc, warm heating pad and rest but in cases that are serious a vet visit is required (any wheezing, bubbles coming out of nose, eye discharge, excessive nasal discharge, sneezing, not eating, etc).
